CHARGING YOUR DEVICE
Connect the USB C cable to a power outlet or computer to charge the battery.
CONNECTING YOUR DEVICE TO A PC
Connect the USB C cable to your computer to access the files on your device.
The power switch must be in the OFF position for your computer to be able to access the files on your device.
Do not disconnect the USB cable whilst data transfer is in progress.
Your computer may say there is an error with the device and ask you to repair the device. If this happens select no. The device uses a file system not recognised by windows.
CUSTOMISING YOUR DEVICE
Connect the device to your pc and open the USB drive.
You will find all the game files in the GAME directory and your games can be organised into folders if required. For example, if you create a favourite folder inside one of the game folders, the favourite folder will show up on your device when you navigate to that game menu.
You can add video/audio/text files to your device.
You can add/remove games from your device.
Any games you move/copy to the classic folder can then be started from the classic menu on your device.
ADDING NEW GAMES TO YOUR DEVICE
Do not attempt to insert the system SD card into your computer. It is not possible to transfer files in this way. Do not format the system SD card, if you do the system files will be deleted, and the device will no longer start. Connect the device to your computer and open the USB drive.
New games can be added to your device by downloading ROM files and placing them in the respective folders.
ROMs must have the following file extensions:
MEGA DRIVE/GENESIS/GAME GEAR .BIN
NINTENDO/NES/FC .NES
SUPER NINTENDO/SNES/SFC .SFC
GAMEBOY .GB
GAMEBOY COLOUR .GBC
GAMEBOY ADVANCE .GBA
MAME .KG
If your ROM files are in another format, first try renaming the file extension.
For example, mega drive ROM files sometimes have the .MD extension, these can just be renamed to .BIN. If renaming does not work, you will need to convert to the correct format or download the ROM in a compatible format.
Remember to leave enough space on your device for game save files or you will be unable to save your games.
OPTIONAL SD EXPANSION CARD
To add extra storage to the device you can add a SD card to the TF port on your device.
The Maximum SD card supported by the device is 128GB.
The card must be formatted to FAT32. This can be done by inserting the SD card and connecting the device to your computer with the power switch in the ON position. Make sure you format the correct drive, or the device may become unusable.
Games can then be copied to the new SD card when the device is connected.
The SD card can also be connected directly to your computer if it has a memory card slot.
Any games added to the SD card can be accessed in the OTHER menu or through the file manager in the TOOL menu.
SELECT BUTTON
The SELECT button is used to access the in-game menu.
A small number of games use the select button to perform a game function.
In these games the button has been replaced with another button, normally the X button or one of the L1, L2, R1, R2 buttons.
CONNECTING THE DEVICE TO YOUR TV
The device can be connected to a tv for playing on a bigger screen.
Use the included AV cable.
If your TV does not have the yellow/red/white AV sockets you will need an adaptor.
AV-HDMI adaptors are widely available.
If the screen does not automatically display on your TV: navigate to display options in the settings menu and change the display to PAL or NTSC depending on your TV (PAL is the UK standard)
POWERING OFF YOUR DEVICE
Slide the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position.
Some games prevent shutting down to prevent accidental power off, if this happens either exit the game by pressing SELECT to access the in-game menu, or press the RESET button to return to the main menu and power off the device.
